Cunningham Children's Home in Urbana, IL seeks a Special Therapies Specialist to guide youth in residential care using music and other modalities within a trauma-informed care framework. You will lead sessions, collaborate with clinical teams, and help youth grow emotionally.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in music therapy, licensure as an MT-BC or eligibility within 3 months, CPR/First Aid, and IL driver's license.

In this exciting and rewarding role, you'll help guide youth through their emotional and behavioral growth using music as well as other therapeutic modalities, working collaboratively with clinical teams to create life-changing experiences.

What You'll Do:

• Leadindividual and group therapeutic sessionsusing music, movement, creative expression and other therapeutic techniques to help youth overcome challenges, express themselves, and grow emotionally.
• Work closely withinterdisciplinary teamsto ensure a comprehensive approach to care, collaborating with clinicians, community partners, and volunteers to maximize impact.
• Manage therapeutic equipment, maintainsafe and nurturing environments, and ensure high standards of documentation and reporting in line with agency policies.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in music therapy
• Licensed Professional Music Therapist (preferred)or eligibility to obtain licensure within 3 months of hire.
• CPR and First Aid certificationsrequired upon hire;lifeguard certification(preferred).
