Job summary

MSNW Group LLC in Portland, Oregon is seeking a part-time Floor Care Specialist. The role involves performing floor cleaning duties such as stripping, waxing, and buffing to maintain facility floors.

You will support management in daily operations and train staff on proper cleaning techniques. Qualified applicants should have at least five 1-year floor care experiences, a valid driver’s license, strong communication, and the ability to lead others.

Responsibilities

• Strip, wax, buff floors, grout cleaning, burnishing, carpet cleaning, and related tasks.
• Assist management in daily operation of contract services with timely, quality delivery.
• Orientate staff on safe operation of equipment and floor care processes.
• Assist with staff training on cleaning techniques.
• Conduct quality checks as directed by management.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.

Requirements

This position requires a valid driver license and insurable driving record.

Schedule: Part time, Wed - Sun

Pay Rate: $24.14 per hour

Expected duties

• Stripping & waxing, buffing floors, grout cleaning, burnishing of floors, carpet cleaning, etc.
• Assist management in the daily operation of specific contract services delivered to customers in a timely and quality manner.
• Orientate in the safe and proper operation of equipment and floor care processes as necessary.
• Assist with job training for staff.
• Conduct quality checks inspections as directed by Management.
• Physically perform all related duties of floor care in accordance with company policies and/or manufacturer’s recommended maintenance requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repair of equipment as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and ensure it functions properly.
• Promptly report worn and broken equipment to supervisor.
• Responsible for keys, combinations, and equipment and/or asset control.
• Responsible for securing building when work is complete.
• Assist with establishing and maintaining a positive relationship with customers.
• Respond to customer complaints.

Job Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of five 1 year floor care experience.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.
• Must have the ability to lead others in the field as well as train staff on proper cleaning techniques.
• Must be able to pass company background check screening and city government requirements
• Must be physically able to perform general tasks.
• Must be able to interact appropriately with customers and employees.

Physical Requirements

• Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling. Mobility and flexibility and ability to climb ladders.
• Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
• Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
• Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
