Job summary

Core One seeks a highly qualified security professional to join our team in the Quantico area. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and a strong background in personnel security and federal regulations.

You will manage access to facilities, coordinate investigations, and deliver security trainings to uphold strict government standards. You will develop and maintain SOPs, process nominations and visits, and ensure accurate recordkeeping across PS systems.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in a field related to security/ labor category.
• 1–3 years of personnel security experience, with recent work preferred.
• Experience with DCID 6/9, ICD 705, ICD 704 and related security regs.

Responsibilities

• Verify security clearance and SCI eligibility before granting facility access.
• Support the DCSA Personnel Security program including background investigations.
• Coordinate reciprocal recognition of investigations with appropriate agencies.
• Review nomination packages for completeness and proper sensitivity levels.
• Develop and deliver security briefings and debriefings.
• Develop/modify SOPs for Government TM/COR approval.
• Maintain PS records in DCSA and local systems; report derogatory info.
• Manage In/Out Processing for facility access and network login.
• Develop visitor services procedures and SOPs for approvals.
• Process visit authorizations and prepare access rosters; coordinate Pentagon/NCR access.

Responsibilities

• Process personnel to verify the appropriate security clearance and/or SCI eligibility prior to granting access to DCSA facilities and information.
• In addition, support the DCSA Personnel Security (PS) Program includes:
• Request/Review/Initiate/Track Personnel Security Background Investigations.
• Provide accurate and analytical establishment, maintenance, review, receipt, accountability, transmission, reproduction, storage, safeguarding, and destruction of collected personal history, case files, data entry, records, files, and reports according to PS policy and procedures.
• Coordinate with the appropriate agencies for reciprocal recognition of existing investigations and adjudications using consistent PS standards prior to initiating new investigations.
• Review and process of hiring nomination packages to determine they are complete, detect anomalies, and process for designated position sensitivity levels.
• Develop and deliver Security briefings and debriefings.
• Develop and/or modify all step-by-step processes and SOPs for Government TM/COR approval.
• Conduct continuous review of PS reportable items. Accurately establish, manage, administer, monitor, release, and place into historical DCSA personnel DISS and local Security Database records. Immediately report to the Government TM/COR if/when potential derogatory information becomes known on personnel that affects their continued eligibility to sensitive and classified positions.
• Develop, review, and maintain In/Out Processing Center administration duties. Accurately review all In and Out Processing prior to allowing access to DCSA facilities and local area networks.
• Develop, review and maintain step-by-step processes for visitor services and SOPs for Government TM/COR approval.
• Process requests for visit authorizations (inbound and outbound), confirm access for conferences within established timelines, and prepare access control rosters.
• Prepare requests for Pentagon and NCR access for Government TM/COR review and signature.
• Identify and ensure visitors are properly cleared with a need-to-know prior to granting access to DCSA facilities or local area networks by issuance of the appropriate DCSA badge, CAC or identification.
• Assist in issuing building badges, manage and control identification badges and keys.
• Monitor and update the DCSA CATMS ServiceNow, and other systems as directed.
• Provide Opening and Closing IDS training for agency personnel authorized to arm/disarm alarm panels.
• Monitor, update and complete required actions on all Security Requests submitted in Service Now Services Automated System.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in an area related to the labor category.
• 1-3 years of experience in personnel security, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
• Experience in SCIF building requirements and knowledge of accreditations methods in accordance with DCID 6/9 and ICD 705; as well as federal regulations that encompass SCI and collateral security processes to include DCID 6/3, ICD 704, ICD 705, and relevant Executive Orders.
• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI

Salary Range: $70,000 - $78,000

The pay range reflected above is a general guideline for this position and labor category and is not a guarantee of a specific salary or offer. Final compensation is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, certifications, security clearance level, contract requirements, geographic location, and internal pay equity, and may reflect market data specific to the awarded contract.
