Job summary

Certarus is the North American leader in low carbon energy solutions. The Special Projects Technician role focuses on implementing and executing diverse Special Projects Operations, with frequent travel to Certarus hubs and customer sites across the US.

You will support site visits, job planning, and technician training while coordinating with operations, logistics, sales, engineering, and HSE to ensure safe, efficient project completion.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of oil & gas experience, midstream or industrial
• Experience with CNG, LNG, Renewable Gas, or Hydrogen

Responsibilities

• Support Special Projects with job planning, site visits, and training technicians and drivers
• Set standards at new job sites and train personnel
• Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, Sales, Engineering, HSE from start to finish of a project
• Monitor SCADA onsite & remote for efficient resource use
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors to ensure timely, safe equipment delivery
• Provide preventative and corrective services on gas compression and process equipment
• Ensure safe and efficient setup of equipment
• Coordinate with hubs to allocate equipment for upcoming jobs
• Assist training team to align technician competencies with CNG/RNG/H2 requirements
