Job summary

Southland Industries in Vancouver, Washington is seeking a senior leader to direct the planning and scheduling of Special Projects, contributing to achieving company objectives and maximizing operating results.

You will implement project management processes, provide inputs on constructability, cost control, and scheduling during planning and execution, monitor performance, escalate issues, and align efforts with broader company goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent education, training and/or experience.
• 10 years of experience in mechanical construction operations, including industrial and specialty construction experience.
• Knowledge of company operations and philosophy.
• Proficient organizational and analytical skills.
• Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to successfully establish and achieve corporate, group, and project goals.

Responsibilities

• Directs the planning and scheduling of Special Projects to meet company and project objectives.
• Supports the implementation of project management processes, policies, and procedures within corporate policy.

• Identifies and resolves project-specific challenges, coordinating with staff and cross-functionalteams to maintain smooth operations.
• Collaborates in cross-functional projects and shares operational best practices.
• Supports budget monitoring and cost analysis activities to maintain financial control ofassigned projects.
• Identifies staff training needs and supports career development.
• Establishes operational objectives and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinates. Reviews objectives to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
• Manages activities of two or more teams or sections, typically through subordinate supervisors. Exercises supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing.

Pay

Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For Washington this ranges from $141,726.00 - $173,221.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
