Job summary

JCC Chicago is seeking a Manager of Special Projects to lead planning, coordination, and execution of a diverse portfolio of programs and strategic initiatives across the organization.

This role will oversee Maccabi, Lake County expansion, after‑school enrichment, school days‑off programming, and lobby activations, working with programs, marketing, operations, facilities, registration, and development to ensure thoughtful, financially responsible, and impactful delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required: Non‑Profit Management, or related degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated success developing, facilitating, and growing cultural and experiential learning programs; experience creating and implementing Jewish programming preferred.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage program participants, vendors, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
  • Experience with data management, reporting, and budget development and oversight.
  • Must be able to work some evening and weekend events.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel between JCC Chicago sites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, coordination, and execution of diverse programs and strategic initiatives across JCC Chicago.
  • Oversee Maccabi, Lake County expansion, after‑school enrichment and school days‑off programming, and lobby activations.
  • Collaborate with programs, marketing, operations, facilities, registration and development teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Develop opportunities to grow the local Maccabi community and manage related budgets and vendor relations.
  • Coordinate program calendars, staffing, and promotion with leadership and departments.
  • Prepare program reports and recommendations for organizational leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, safety procedures, accessibility, and screening requirements.
