Job description

The Marlene Meyerson Jewish Community Center of Manhattan is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and enthusiastic Programs & Special Projects Coordinator to coordinate and help deliver ambitious cultural initiatives across the Lambert Center for Arts + Ideas. Reporting to the Director of the Lambert Center, the Coordinator will play an integral role in bringing complex projects to life, working closely with artists, partner organizations, vendors, and colleagues across the institution.

This position supports cross-departmental initiatives that combine visual arts, performing arts, public programming, exhibitions, festivals, and community engagement. The Coordinator will help manage project timelines, facilitate communications, conduct research, coordinate logistics, and support the production of high-quality cultural experiences that reflect the JCC's mission and artistic vision.

Initial priorities for this position include supporting the JCC's upcoming 25th Anniversary celebration, a year-long series of artistic commissions, exhibitions, performances, and public programs, as well as the Israel Culture Project (ICP), an initiative designed to strengthen connections between Israeli artists, cultural organizations, and Jewish communities throughout North America.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an early-career arts professional to gain hands-on experience producing exhibitions, festivals, public programs, and institution-wide initiatives while working directly with artists, cultural organizations, and senior leadership. The position offers broad exposure to every stage of project planning and execution within one of New York City's leading Jewish cultural institutions.
