Job summary

Highland Consulting Group is seeking a Special Projects Manager - Mechanical in the Baltimore, MD area for a Large Regional Contractor. You will run projects from conception to completion across Commercial, Government, Education, Healthcare and Light Industrial sectors.

The role requires 5 years as a Mechanical Project Manager with a Mechanical contractor on projects >$1M, with knowledge of Piping, HVAC and Plumbing. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Piping, HVAC & Plumbing Systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings.
• Able to manage and develop 4-5 key direct accounts.
• Ability to establish timelines and budgets.
• 5 years experience as a Mechanical Project Manager with a Mechanical contractor on projects >$1M (Mechanical Piping, Plumbing, sheet metal).
• Bachelor's degree required; Mechanical Eng, Construction Mgmt or PM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages and supervises all phases of assigned projects.
• Perform Account Development and build relationships with customers.
• Work with local General Contractors and directly with property owners.
• Create a project scope of work and estimate the cost of the projects.
• Work as a Project Manager and manage concurrent projects that can be multi-million-dollar projects.
• Negotiate all change orders and maintain change order logs.
• Manages project budget and approves all expenses.
• Interface with the owner on all projects assigned.
• Perform project punch-list inspections coordinating with superintendent and owner’s rep, and issue punch list to relevant subcontractors.
• Create invoices, assemble and maintain complete project records and close-out documents.

We are currently looking to fill aSpecial Projects Managerposition for aMechanical contractorin the Baltimore, MDarea.They are recruiting for a creative, driven person that can run projects from conception to completion that wants to make the company money as well as be rewarded for their efforts. Our client is a LargeRegional Contractor that is in expansion mode. The type of project mix includes Commercial, Government, Education, Healthcare, and Light Industrial. Experience in all areas is a plus but not required.

• A Bachelors degree is required. Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management degrees are preferred.
