Job summary

Upbring is seeking a Special Programs Specialist Level II to provide direct, hands-on classroom support for students with disabilities. You will collaborate with teaching staff to implement individualized action plans and ensure IEP/IFSP accommodations are carried out with fidelity.

This role involves travel up to 75% (Stephenville, Granbury, Cleburne) and requires a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, plus Texas teaching certification in Special Education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in education, special education, psychology, counseling, or a related field
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with Endorsement in Special Education
• Two (2) years of Special Education classroom teaching experience in one or more service delivery models
• Demonstrated knowledge of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and Section 504; familiarity with Child Find, IEP/IFSP, and the Special Education referral process
• Preferred: Master’s degree in education, special education, psychology, counseling, or related field
• Experience organizing trauma-informed and evidence-based prevention/intervention services for children with disabilities; exposure to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

Responsibilities

• Monitors IFSP/IEP/504 annual review dates and attends ARD meetings for children with maladaptive behaviors
• Recommend, implement, monitor, and adjust classroom accommodations and support to meet students’ individualized needs
• Provides in-class, hands-on instruction modeling strategies and tracking IEP/IFSP/504 goals and interventions
• Maintain up-to-date progress notes and documentation using authorized forms and uploading to the online databases
• Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings, conferences, trainings and professional development
• Updates leadership on caseload referrals, disability percentages, and related concerns
• Ensure compliance with code of conduct and licensing/regulatory requirements (HSPPS, Upbring policies, Child Care Standards)
• Maintains disability data tracking, generates regular reports for management
• Ensures child health and safety by reporting concerns, engaging families, coordinating services, and documenting evaluations
