Job Summary

Performs radiologic films of the body requiring specialized or complex procedures to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries. Acts as an assistant to the physician during invasive radiological procedures.

Job Description

Shift Details: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
    • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) is required.
    • Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
Experience / Knowledge / Skills
  • Ability to lift and maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Performs special/invasive radiology procedures, ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures: prepares patients, explains procedures, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients, selects imaging techniques, and ensures image quality.
  • Enters and monitors patient data.
  • Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment; may assist with accreditation processes.
  • Reports accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Takes emergency call within the department.
  • Ensures safe care for patients, staff, and visitors; adheres to policies, procedures, and standards, managing time, supplies, and productivity.
  • Supports professional growth through continuing education and skills development; mentors less experienced staff.
  • Creates compassionate and personalized experiences, modeling service standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
