CMC is the region’s only Level 1 trauma center and an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas, and liver. We are one of North Carolina’s five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, offering residency training for over 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serving as a regional campus for Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
The Interventional Radiology Technologist assists with invasive Angio and interventional procedures in the Radiology Suite. Responsibilities include surgical scrub and circulation duties, patient care during and after procedures, and ensuring patient safety.
Essential Functions:
Physical Requirements:
Standing and walking while wearing lead aprons (10-15 lbs), exposure to radiation, secretions, and blood; confined workspace; good vision and manual dexterity; constant concentration during procedures.
Education, Training, and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or Interventional Radiology program required. BLS certification required. RTR certification required. At least 1 year of diagnostic and 1 year of interventional radiology experience preferred. Must meet competency checklist requirements for the role.
