Iberia Medical Center (IMC) in New Iberia, LA is hiring a Special Procedures Tech for the Cath Lab on a full-time basis. The role involves scrub and radiographic duties for procedures including cardiac catheterizations and angiography, with responsibilities for x-ray equipment and lab preparation.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Radiologic program and a Louisiana State License; previous experience is preferred but not required.

• Louisiana State License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed radiographic procedures in Cath Lab as directed by provider.
• Operate radiographic equipment in Cath Lab under cardiologist supervision.
• Set up procedural tray and scrub for Cath Lab cases; assist during invasive procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation and transport to/from Cath Lab.

IMC is currently looking to hire a Special Procedures Tech, in our Cath Lab, full time. Thisposition performs scrubandradiographic duties for proceduresincluding cardiac catheterizations, peripheral angiography, clot retrieval,pacer implant/explant and more. Responsibilities include all x-ray equipment, cardiac cath equipment,implementation of patient charges and proper preparation of the patient and labprior to the procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduateof Radiologic program, which is accredited by the Joint Review Committee forRadiology Technology Education (JRCRTE).
  
• Valid Louisiana State License
• Previous experience preferred, but not required

PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performprescribed specialized radiographic procedures utilizing ionizingradiation as directed by provider, organizational policies,procedures and protocols
• Operates all radiographic equipment in Cath Lab at a technical levelunder the direction of a cardiologist.
  
• Set up procedural tray and scrub for all Cath Lab cases and performs scrub assist role during invasive procedures
• Assist with preparation and transport of patient to and from Cath Lab
