Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking a Special Procedure Nurse to provide direct patient care and practice management support in a procedural unit, under department leadership.

The role involves pre- and post-procedure assessments, intra-procedural monitoring, IV placement, wound care, and EKGs for specialties like GYN, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Oncology, and GI, with emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in MA and BLS certification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant medical/surgical or ambulatory nursing experience; ACLS may be required.
• Preferred BSN degree and EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pre- and post-procedure assessments, monitoring, and intra-procedural care for GYN Surgery, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Oncology, and GI procedures.
• Support procedural flow by organizing resources and ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Perform nursing procedures including IV placement, medication administration, wound care, and EKGs.
• Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure confidentiality.
• Monitor patient conditions, communicate data to the care team, and administer medications as ordered.
• Maintain safety standards, participate in staff education and quality initiatives, and foster collaborative relationships.
• Assist with oncology care coordination and community resources.
