Job summary

Atrius Health in Somerville, MA, is seeking a Special Procedures RN (OBGYN) to provide pre- and post-procedure assessment, IV sedation, intra-procedural support, and post-operative monitoring in a multidisciplinary procedural unit.

Join a collaborative care team with strong focus on safety, documentation, and patient education. 32 hours per week; day shifts, with BLS/ACLS as required and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completed an accredited Registered Nurse education program.
• Active and unrestricted RN licensure in MA.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in medical/surgical or ambulatory nursing.
• Willingness to participate in IVMS seminars every two years.

Responsibilities

• Support the procedural process as part of a collaborative care team.
• Organize resources and activities to ensure safe, efficient procedural flow.
• Provide specialty-specific care including pre-op assessment, IV sedation, intra-procedural support, and post-op monitoring.
• Deliver patient education and maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate data to the care team.
• Administer medications per orders and assist with oncology care coordination.
• Maintain safety standards, credentialing, and certifications (BCLS, ACLS, specialty).
