Qualifications

• Current Louisiana nursing license required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required (WJMC & EJGH).
• PALS certification required (CHNOLA).

Responsibilities

• Take the lead: prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating all care touchpoints for your patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure direct patient care.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.
• Monitor and engage with patients, families, and care team during significant events or questions.
• Explain procedures, treatments and medications to patient and family.
• Ensure infection control and environment of care requirements.
• Ensure continuity of care and exceptional patient experience.
• Consult with supervisor when unable to complete assignments promptly or safely.
• Initiate patient and family education using resources and continuum of care services.
