Located at the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion in Hillcrest, this role requires autonomous nursing care across the procedure suite and collaboration with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• RN license issued by the State of California.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to UCSD ART within six months.
• One year recent procedural experience in a setting with procedural suites or operating rooms.
• Conscious sedation (Moderate Sedation Certification).
• Ability to work preop, intraop, and postop for procedure.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with problem solving.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication; teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure nursing care.
• Assist physician during endoscopy and perform moderate sedation under physician direction.
• Direct nursing interventions and evaluate results for diverse patient populations.
• Serve as resource to other nursing and tech team members; promote safety and quality initiatives.
• Care for procedure suite patients including pain, OB/GYN and IR procedures; support future services.
