Job summary

UT Health Tyler in Tyler, TX seeks a day shift, full-time Special Procedures Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care and assist radiologists in the IR department. The role spans adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients with ionizing radiation used in imaging.

Required qualifications include a nursing degree (ASN/ADN/Bachelor/Master), current Texas RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications (acquired within specified timelines). Prior CCU/procedural experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Completion of an Associates Degree, Diploma, or Bachelor/Master of Science in Nursing.
Must maintain current Texas RN License.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
ACLS certification is required.
PALS certification is required.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
The IR Registered Nurse assists the Radiologist with procedures performed in the IR Department.
The patient population contains adults, geriatric and pediatric patients.
Ionizing Radiation is utilized to perform these studies as well as other imaging modalities.
