Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Full-Time Radiology Technologist for MSK Special Procedures and Neuro Interventional Radiology. The role includes on-call coverage, fluoroscopy, and assisting in complex neuro/interventional suites. New grads and experienced technologists are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree or higher in related field.
• Registered Technologist in Radiography (RT(R)) or equivalent.
• Experience in Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures, Cath Lab, or Neuro IR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and equipment for procedures.
• Perform studies independently, including on-call and portable exams.
• Participate in emergent Neuro IR cases and on-call coverage.
• Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment; maintain sterile fields.

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Radiology Technologist for MSK -Special Procedures & IR Neuro Advanced Modality Technologist for Barnes Jewish Hospital – 5th Floor Plaza West Tower (St. Louis, MO) - MSK Special Procedures and Neuro Interventional Radiology Suites Dept.

Position Details

Day Shift: 4 days per Week @ 10 hours shifts - Monday - Friday (7:30am-6pm) Extra Pay Call Rotation (Paid even if not called in!!!):

• Weeknight call (Monday to Thursday): 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM & Weekend call (Friday 6:00 PM through Monday 7:30 AM)
• Participate in on-call coverage for emergent Neuro IR cases
• Support both Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Neuro Interventional Radiology procedures
• Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment, prepare and maintain sterile procedure fields, image-guided procedures, minimally invasive procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment & participate in call and respond to emergent cases
• Stroke intervention, neurovascular procedures, kyphoplasty, ablations, biopsies, and injections

On-the-job training will be provided for candidates with strong procedural imaging backgrounds

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in related field
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
• Experience (preferred): Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures, Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, or Neuro IR experience
• Experience with fluoroscopy, sterile technique, and image-guided procedures
• Epic experience

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose: Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
