Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Bay City, MI seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform specialized radiographic procedures under the supervision of a radiologist/physician. The role includes general diagnostic procedures, patient education, image production, and safety responsibilities.

The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus, a full-time schedule, and 7:00 am–5:30 pm shifts with 80 hours per pay period. On-call duties and weekend coverage may apply.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist.
• One year related job experience.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional procedures by following provider orders.
• Educates patients and families regarding procedures to be performed.
• Produces high-quality images and prepares them with patient information for interpretation.
• Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements and troubleshoots to maintain performance.
• Maintains a safe environment and adheres to radiation safety policies.
• Maintains confidentiality of all work information and supports ethical responsibilities.
• Ensures efficient department workflow and adequate inventory to prevent interruptions.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Position Summary:

Under the direction and supervision of a radiologist/physician, performs specialized radiographic procedures. Also performs general diagnostic procedures as required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring provider’s orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
• Educates patients and families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
• Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
• Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to radiation safety policies.
• Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
• Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of service.
• Performs other related duties as required and directed.

• Performs cardiac catheterization procedure scrub role.
• Performs cardiac catheterization procedure monitor role.
• Proficient and SME with IVUS/FFR equipment
