Job summary

Talented-Medical-Solutions seeks an experienced Special Procedures Technologist to join a Level I Trauma Center for a 13-week travel assignment, focusing on IR, neuro, and stroke procedures. The role demands strong skills in interventional procedures and teamwork in a high-acuity setting.

Expect to work with radiologists and the procedural team, prepare rooms and equipment, and maintain sterile technique. Float to the South Campus as needed, with 4×10-hour shifts and on-call nights/weekends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology (IR) experience.
  • Experience appropriate for a large Level I Trauma Center.
  • Strong experience with complex special procedures and high-acuity patients.
  • Previous travel experience preferred.
  • Ability to work 4 × 10-hour shifts.
  • Flexibility to start between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM.
  • Willingness to take night and weekend call.
  • Ability to float to the South Campus when staffing requires.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and the multidisciplinary team with interventional radiology and special procedures.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and patients for scheduled and emergent procedures.
  • Provide technical support during complex procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
  • Demonstrate competency with equipment and technology used in interventional procedures.
  • Support neurovascular, stroke, and other high-acuity procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain procedural equipment for safe operation.
  • Maintain a sterile field and follow infection-control and patient-safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other team members.
  • Respond to urgent and emergent cases in a Level I Trauma environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility policies and regulatory standards.
  • Be flexible to float to the South Campus when required.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Special Procedures Technologist to join a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center for a rewarding 13-week travel assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled IR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience supporting complex interventional procedures.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience, with clinical expertise that includes neuro and stroke procedures. Previous travel experience is preferred.

Assist physicians and the multidisciplinary team with a wide range of interventional radiology and special procedures.

Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and patients for scheduled and emergent procedures.

Provide technical support during complex procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique.

Demonstrate competency with equipment and technology used in interventional procedures.

Support neurovascular, stroke, and other high-acuity procedures.

Monitor and maintain procedural equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Maintain a sterile field and follow infection-control and patient-safety protocols.

Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the procedural team.

Respond appropriately to urgent and emergent cases in a Level I Trauma environment.

Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility policies and regulatory standards.

Be flexible to float to the South Campus when required based on staffing needs.

Call Requirements

Night call: Approximately 1–2 times per week

Call frequency may vary depending on staffing and department needs.

Must be comfortable responding to urgent/emergent procedures while on call.

Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology (IR) experience.

Experience must be appropriate for a large Level I Trauma Center.

Strong experience with complex special procedures and high-acuity patients.

Previous travel experience preferred.

Ability to work 4 × 10-hour shifts.

Flexibility to work varying start times between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

Willingness to take required night and weekend call.

Ability to float to the South Campus when staffing requires.

Strong communication, teamwork, and critical‑thinking skills.
