Saint Francis Healthcare System in Missouri is seeking a Special Procedure Technician to assist with endoscopic procedures in the GI Lab, Radiology, and acute care areas under the direction of the Manager and clinicians.

The role requires a High School Diploma, BLS certification, and prior healthcare experience. It offers full-time hours (80 hours per two weeks) with benefits, and a schedule Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

  • Assist with endoscopic procedures including proctoscopies, colonoscopies, panendoscopies, sclerotherapies, dilatations, PEGs and ERCPs in GI Lab, Radiology and acute care areas.
  • Operate under supervision of the Manager of the Center for Digestive Diseases, RN or physician.
  • Typical hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm; full-time 80 hours per two-week pay period.

JOB SUMMARY

The Special Procedure Technician, under the direction of the Manager of the Center for Digestive Diseases, the RN or physician, assists with endoscopic procedures including proctoscopies, colonoscopies, panendoscopies, sclerotherapies, esophageal or pyloric dilatations, PEGs, ERCPs in the GI Lab, Radiology and in the acute care areas.

Type: Full Time (80 hours per two week pay period, with benefits)

Typical hours for this position: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Education: High School Diploma Required

Certification & Licensures:

  • BLS Certification.

Experience:

  • Completion of orientation to the Center for Digestive Diseases.
  • Ability to act and function in emergency situations.
  • Effective communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or other healthcare position in which those competencies-required.
