Special Operations Psychological/Mental Health Technician (JSOC, Fort Liberty, NC)

Join KBR, Inc. as a Special Operations Psychological/Mental Health Technician (JSOC, Fort Liberty, NC). This position offers relocation benefits and is part of our mission to support service members and astronauts worldwide.

The Psychological Mental Health Technician will assist with outpatient behavioral health activities, under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide a wide range of behavioral health interventions from prevention to treatment, following guidance from licensed staff.
  • Conduct intakes, assist in care and treatment of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients, and counsel clients with behavioral or psychological issues.
  • Perform work independently, resolving non-recurring problems and applying appropriate guidelines, referring unusual issues to supervisors.
  • Observe patients, detect behavior patterns, and report findings to licensed staff.
  • Lead individual or group therapy sessions under supervision.
  • Complete intake interviews and required documentation for new patients.
  • Administer psychological and psychophysiological tests, compile data, and prepare reports.
  • Maintain clinical and administrative data, prepare reports, and assist in program development and efficiency improvements.
  • Manage supplies, maintain physical property, and coordinate meetings and case reviews.
  • Support families with information on healthy family life and parenting skills.
Minimum Qualifications
  • US Citizen with a Secret or Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Associate degree or equivalent military training as a psychiatric technician or mental health program assistant.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a psychiatric technician.
  • Completion of psychiatric technician training, including conflict management, de-escalation, and crisis intervention.
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
Standard Company Requirements
  • Compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality assurance policies.
  • Regular attendance and completion of required training.
