We are seeking a stellar Special Operations Physical Therapist who will provide evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions. They are licensed independent practitioners and credentialed as direct care providers in specific military HP settings. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and treat patients with or without referrals.
  2. Refer patients to other POTFF staff members as needed.
  3. Provide and perform services supporting POTFF’s HP program for SOF personnel, focusing on SOF Operators and Direct Combat Support personnel: Provide neuro-musculoskeletal injury care, including ordering images, labs, pharmaceuticals, dry needling, acupuncture, joint injections, aspirations, and referrals to specialists.
  4. Supervise PT Tech, PT Assistant, and/or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) within their scope of practice, if directed.
  5. Participate in meetings with HP and POTFF to review care, identify improvements.
  6. Advise the HP program Manager/Coordinator on Sports Medicine, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and human performance research.
  7. Advise on administrative matters, purchasing, and fiscal requests.
  8. Conduct equipment, literature reviews, and ensure current care practices.
  9. Contribute to database development and documentation review.
  10. Assist in developing and updating job descriptions, performance standards, and clinical guidelines.
  11. Support fiscal planning and participate in meetings with staff and medical providers.
  12. Ensure safe operation of patient care equipment and participate in training.
  13. Maintain compliance with training requirements and document care in electronic health records and databases.
  14. Perform other assigned tasks within the scope of the PT position.
  15. Collect and report data as required, and utilize computer technologies proficiently.

Required Education/Experience/Skills/Training:

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Secret or Top Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
  • Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Certification through ABPTS (OCS or SCS) or NATA (ATC).
  • Maintain credentialing in local MTF.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of SOF training, including hiking over rough terrain and lifting loads up to 25 kg.
  • Minimum 5 years of manual therapy experience in sports medicine, preferably with athletes at NCAA, Olympic, professional, or SOF levels.
  • Fluent in English, with current BCLS certification.

Desired Education, Experience, Skills or Training:

  • Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Prior military or SOF experience.
  • Additional credentials like CSCS are a plus.
