Job summary

BrightStar Care of South Sacramento is seeking a Transportation Aide to support the safe transport of clients to and from Day Program. You will assist the van driver, help with loading/unloading, and monitor passengers during rides to ensure their safety.

Successful candidates will be patient, courteous, and capable of basic first aid, clear communication, and maintaining simple ride records. Prioritizing safety and following procedures is essential.

• Must be patient and courteous in all interactions.
• Sitting for extended periods and communicating clearly are required.

Responsibilities

• Redirect behaviors and ensure safety of individuals during transport.
• Assist in loading/unloading and monitor ride to Day Program.
• Help arrange seating to ensure safety and security.
• Perform basic first aid.
• Maintain simple records.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and attend safety meetings.
