Job summary

Cumberland County School District is seeking a teacher assistant to support the instructional program at the assigned school. The role includes assisting in supervision and instruction of special needs students, observing and documenting progress, and implementing instructional plans.

The assistant will work with students in small groups to boost academic skills in ELA and Math and reports to the principal.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 60 college hours or Parapro test.
• Ability to support instructional activities and supervise students.
• Experience working with diverse learners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the instructional program and supervise special needs students.
• Observe and document student progress and assist in implementing plans.
• Support students in small groups to improve ELA and Math skills.
• Report to the principal and collaborate with instructional staff.
