Job summary

Essential duties include medical assessment, coordination of educational plans, medication administration, and emergency response. Candidates should have RN/LPN credentials, CPR/AED, and a nursing degree from an accredited program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from NLNAC/CCNE-accredited program.
• RN or LPN licensure and CPR/AED certification.
• Certification as Special Education Aide by DPI.
• Experience with children with complex medical conditions.
• Cross-cultural experience and commitment to cultural competence.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational, personal, and medical needs for students with complex health needs.
• Assess and intervene for complex health/medical needs (respiratory, seizures, G-tubes, etc.).
• Coordinate day-to-day educational program and medical priorities.
• Administer medications and nursing procedures as delegated.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for the student’s environment.
• Follow MMSD guidelines and emergency protocols; handle emergencies.
