Job summary

Medical Transport Systems is hiring Bus Aide volunteers to assist students during bus routes. You will help students board, remain seated, and alight safely, while collaborating with drivers and school staff. The role emphasizes safety, quick assistance for mobility needs, and maintaining a clean, secure vehicle.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 30–40 hours weekly. A background check and school district certifications are required, with benefits and a $250

Qualifications

• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, Child Abuse History Clearance, and required certifications per school districts.
• High school or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Support students in boarding and exiting the bus safely.
• Assist students with mobility challenges, including wheelchairs, as needed.
• Maintain a safe vehicle environment and report any maintenance issues.
• Follow routes and schedules for timely pickups and drop-offs.
• Communicate effectively with school staff, students, caregivers, and supervisors.
• Ensure proper use of safety restraints and seat belts at all times.
