Job summary

The Children's Guild, Brooklyn Campus in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Therapeutic Behavioral Aide to support students with autism and other special needs. The role focuses on providing direct, one-on-one assistance in a classroom setting to help students thrive.

You'll work Mon-Fri 8am-4pm, with opportunities to grow in behavioral interventions, IEP support, and crisis de-escalation, contributing to a compassionate, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; experience in special education preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience working with students with special needs or autism.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, empathy and a passion for helping children succeed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Engage in family outreach and school-based activities.
• Participate in professional development and training.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to implement IEP goals.
• Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Document student progress and behavioral observations.
