Job summary

First American’s ServiceMac unit seeks an experienced land transaction specialist to handle specialized servicing activities and ensure accurate documentation across multiple transactions.

You will review borrower and property information, coordinate with investors and insurers, and escalate non-standard issues while maintaining robust records and adherence to investor requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of mortgage servicing, mortgage operations, title, real estate, or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of mortgage servicing and property-related documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Processes Partial Releases, Additions of Land, Easements, and other land-related transactions.
• Reviews loan and property information to determine eligibility and transaction requirements.
• Reviews supporting documentation, including legal descriptions, surveys/plats, deeds, title documents, valuations, and other required documentation.
• Identifies outstanding requirements and communicates with customers and internal/external business partners.
• Coordinates investor, mortgage insurance, client, title, appraisal, legal, and other approvals as applicable.
• Manages assigned transactions and follows outstanding conditions through completion.
• Maintains accurate system documentation, imaging, tasks, and transaction records.
• Ensures transactions are completed in accordance with applicable investor, insurer, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Researches complex or non-standard transactions and escalates issues when appropriate.
• Supports process improvements and maintains department procedures and job aids.

What We Do

Responsible for processing specialized land transactions, including Partial Releases, Additions of Land, Easements, and other requests affecting property securing a mortgage loan. Reviews eligibility, documentation, and applicable investor, insurer, and client requirements while coordinating transactions through completion.

Pay Range: $24.42 - $32.56 HourlyThis hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
