Job summary

First American is seeking a Lead Processor in the mortgage services domain to manage complex land and assumption transactions, document handling, and file preparation. The role requires 5+ years in mortgage loan documentation and proven leadership in a dynamic environment.

• Assess processes and suggest improvements, monitor vendor activity, and assist in scheduling team activities.

What We Do

The Lead Processor is a high-level operations position with proven expertise in mortgage document and mortgage loan transactional execution. This individual will support various critical activities across the Special Products and Land Transaction teams. This is a self-driven, motivated employee with a high degree of flexibility as well as considerable critical thinking skills. This individual needs to step in to support complex activities surrounding assumptions, land transactions and document management.

What You’ll Do

• Support activities across the Special Products and Land Transaction teams as needed including:
  • Assumptions, partial releases, and other land transactions
• Act as the team’s resource and subject matter expert to answer questions and create resolutions using experience, best practices, and sound judgment
• Prepare files
• Review and complete loan files
• Research and remediate exceptions
• Work with spreadsheets and reconciliations
• Coordinate with clients, customers and other departments and external parties to complete transactions
• Assess processes and make recommendations for improvements
• Work with vendors to monitor activity and conduct research
• If needed, prepare procedures and job aids
• Assists in scheduling and coordinating team activities
• Troubleshoots and guides others on wide variety of complex problems and identifies solutions within broad application and functional expertise

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of directly related mortgage loan document, mortgage loan transactional experience and demonstratedleadership experience
• Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, including the ability to prioritize workload to meet critical deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers, peers, and management
• Strong critical thinking
• Self-driven and doesn’t require high degree of supervision

Pay Range: $24.42 - $32.56 Hourly

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
