Position Overview

Utah Testing and Engineering, a subsidiary of Sunrise Engineering, is currently searching for a Special Inspector who can work from anywhere between Logan and South Salt Lake. Salary will be based on experience and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform special inspections as assigned and maintain certifications within currently certified areas
• Maintain current certifications and acquire new ones while employed with UTE
• Complete and submit report forms for all inspections and testing performed at the end of each shift
• Handle vehicle maintenance and complete monthly vehicle reports
• Observe and assist with training and reporting for technicians
• Perform ACI Level 1 testing as needed
• Perform compaction testing as needed
• Carry out other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• ICC Reinforced Concrete and/or Structural Masonry and/or ACI Level II certification, along with a State of Utah DOPL license
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability and desire to become certified for ICC Prestressed Concrete Special Inspector, Spray Applied Fire Proofing, Structural Steel/Bolting
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to maintain company vehicle
• Pass a pre‑employment drug screen
