The City of West Sacramento is seeking experienced law enforcement professionals to join our team as Part-Time Extra Help/Special Events Police Officers to support special events and operations.

This at-will position provides enforcement services at events, transit and crowd control needs, with no guarantee of hours. High school diploma or equivalent and a valid California POST Intermediate certificate are required, and candidates may be referred on a rolling basis for testing and interviews.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• POST certificate (Intermediate) valid in California preferred.
• Ten years of full-time law enforcement experience with a California agency or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Provide enforcement at special events such as baseball games, concerts and other occasions with crowds.
• Patrol designated areas by foot, bicycle, or other means to preserve law and order.
• Conduct jail transports and assist full-time officers during peak periods.
• Prepare reports on activities, operations, arrests, and incidents; investigate as needed.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with the public and assist with community outreach.
