Job summary

Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Welch, MN is seeking a guest services teammate to support promotions and entertainment events on the gaming floor, providing a high level of guest service.

You will assist at events, set up and tear down activities, greet guests, explain promotions and drawings, register guests, and help ensure event rules are followed.

This role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1-year hospitality or guest service is required.
• Preferred: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

SUMMARY : To provide support during promotions and entertainment functions. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist at on and off property events
• Set up and tear down promotional events and drawings
• Greet and guide guests and provide event, promotion, entertainment and amenity information
• Explain promotions, register guests for drawings and hand out promotional items
• Ensure event rules and regulations are followed

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification

Required:

• 1-year hospitality or guest service

Preferred:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

REQUIRED TRAINING

• Treasure Island guest service training
• TIPS training and certification
• Any position-related training as determined by department manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to walk and / or stand for long periods of up to 8 hours
• Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend, kneel, reach and twist routinely
• Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
• Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds occasionally
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
• Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed on the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
• Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
• Occasionally overtime may be required
• Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
• High volume direct public contact
