Job summary

Family of Kidz in Nassau County, NY seeks a Special Educator for the Resource Room to provide direct instruction aligned with IEP goals during school hours. You will develop individualized lesson plans and collaborate with general education staff to support diverse learners.

This role offers flexibility with part-time or full-time possibilities, with compensation at $60 per hour and benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Certification required for NYS SWD and K-6 to 12 is preferred.
• Experience in settings serving children with disabilities is desirable.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals.
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans.
• Adapt materials to support diverse learners.
• Review and implement each student’s IEP mandates.
• Collect progress data and prepare quarterly reports.
• Communicate with teachers, families, and service providers.
