Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Special Educator EI/SEIS in Brewster, NY. Roles include providing EI/SEIS lessons to children based on IFSP/IEP goals and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team. Compensation ranges from $60 to $70 per hour depending on experience and program (Early Intervention and Preschool).

Qualifications

• NYS Students with Disabilities B-Grade 2 Certification is required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children and families preferred.
• Bilingual skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized EI/SEIS lessons based on IFSP/IEP goals.
• Develop creative, multi-sensory lessons aligned to IFSP/IEP goals.
• Collect and report progress toward IFSP/IEP goals.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain attendance records and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practices.
• Attend IEP/IFSP meetings.

• Early Intervention services operate 365 days a year and can be flexibly scheduled
• Preschool services will follow the school calendar
• Compensation:
• EI Compensation: $64-$70/ hour
• Preschool Compensation: $60/ Hour

Responsibilities

• Work with students who are in Early Intervention or Preschool Program providing individualized lessons which target goals from the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) / Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
• Develop creative and multi-sensory lessons based on the IFSP/IEP goals and report progress toward these goals.
• Collect meaningful information on IEP /IFSP goals and report quarterly on child’s progress with IEP/IFSP goals.
• Ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development.
• Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Attend IEP/IFSP meetings.
