Job summary

Family of Kidz in Westchester County, NY seeks therapists for Early Intervention and Preschool programs. Roles can be part-time, fee-for-service, or full-time, with day, evening and weekend hours.

Compensation ranges from $60 to $70 per hour depending on service and credentials. You will develop individualized lessons, track progress per IFSP/IEP, and communicate with the multidisciplinary team, including attending IEP/IFSP meetings.

Qualifications

• NYS Students with Disabilities B-Grade 2 Certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience working with children and families preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized lessons for EI/Preschool based on IFSP/IEP goals.
• Develop creative, multi-sensory lessons aligned with IFSP/IEP goals.
• Collect and report progress toward IFSP/IEP goals quarterly.
• Maintain ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to improve practice.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and professionals; attend IEP/IFSP meetings.

Please note this is a range. Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. In addition the position posted may be either full-time or fee-for-service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. This arrangement can vary and is subject to change.

Responsibilities

• Work with students who are in Early Intervention or Preschool Program providing individualized lessons which target goals from the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) / Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
• Develop creative and multi-sensory lessons based on the IFSP/IEP goals and report progress toward these goals.
• Collect meaningful information on IEP /IFSP goals and report quarterly on child’s progress with IEP/IFSP goals.
• Ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development.
• Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Attend IEP/IFSP meetings.
