Job summary

Family of Kidz in Eastern Suffolk, NY seeks therapists to support Early Intervention and Preschool programs. Roles may be part-time on a fee-for-service basis or full-time, with day, evening, and weekend hours and 365-day EI scheduling flexibility.

Compensation ranges from $64-$75 per hour for EI and $55-$60 per hour for Preschool, with pay determined by service provided, experience and licensure. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and more.

Qualifications

• Certification in NYS Students with Disabilities B-Grade 2 required or preferred.
• Experience supporting children and families in EI/Preschool settings desired.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in Early Intervention or Preschool programs delivering individualized lessons aligned to IFSP/IEP goals.
• Develop creative, multisensory lessons and report progress toward goals.
• Collect and report data on IFSP/IEP progress and communicate with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate attendance and submit billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings and collaborate with parents, teachers and other professionals.
• Participate in IEP/IFSP meetings.

Please note this is a range. Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. In addition the position posted may be either full-time or fee-for-service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. This arrangement can vary and is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

• Work with students who are in Early Intervention or Preschool Program providing individualized lessons which target goals from the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) / Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
• Develop creative and multi-sensory lessons based on the IFSP/IEP goals and report progress toward these goals.
• Collect meaningful information on IEP /IFSP goals and report quarterly on child’s progress with IEP/IFSP goals.
• Ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development.
• Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Attend IEP/IFSP meetings.
