Job Description

The Kingdom East School District seeks a licensed (or eligible) special educator assigned to the Lyndon Town School. This position provides direct instruction to students and consultation to classroom teachers serving learners with special needs. The position requires applicants to possess a thorough understanding of special education law, cognitive/social emotional development, IEP development and classroom interventions within a tiered system of supportive instruction. The Lyndon Town School is team-oriented and operates under a Professional Learning Communities (PLC) model. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also required. The pay range for this position is currently $44,232-$86,232.

The Lyndon Town School is part of the Kingdom East School District and is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their choosing.

We are located about 3 hours from Boston, Montreal and Portland, ME.
