Job summary

The permanent sub reports to a school and may be reassigned within CCPS as needed. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree and Virginia teaching license with a Special Education endorsement preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Eligibility for a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in a special education is preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Background investigations: FBI, State Police, CPS; Tuberculosis Screening.

Responsibilities

• Improvise lessons in emergencies when detailed lesson plans are unavailable.
• Plan, prepare and deliver curriculum content to students.
• Establish objectives for learning activities.
• Deliver intervention services based on goals.
• Assess student learning using multiple tools and adjust instruction.
• Collaborate with faculty to plan and deliver instruction.
• Communicate with parents, administration and staff as needed.
• Incorporate technology to support instruction.
