Qualifications

• Experience with special needs population preferred
• High school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• First Aid/CPR and Safety Care certifications

Responsibilities

• Provides group and individual instruction under supervision of teacher/specialist
• Supervision at all times
• Implements behavior plans, collects data, requests assistance when necessary
• Maintains neat, organized and safe environment
• Communicates with support services and health staff as needed
• Attends faculty meetings and trainings as required
• Assists in preparing teaching materials and classroom setup
• Supports students in ADL skills and money management as directed
• Acts as emergency replacement for classroom teacher when needed
• Keeps student information confidential and ensures safety
