Job description

Lower Merion School District is seeking Special Education Teachers for Grades 5-8. Both long-term substitute and contract positions are available.

Qualifications:
  1. PA Certification in Special Education required.
  2. Out-of-state educators should explore PA's reciprocity guidelines set by the PA Department of Education. Certification information is available at PA Certification Info.
  3. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet student needs and experience working with students with various disabilities is required; experience supporting students receiving Learning Support services in an inclusive middle school setting is preferred.
  4. 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred. Good standing with Act 48 credits. Child abuse, PA State Police, and FBI clearances (valid within one year from hire date).
Position Details:

These positions are available for the 2025-2026 school year. Salary and benefits are set by the LMEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
