The Special Education Teacher will create an evidence based educational program and a classroom environment that is multicultural/gender and ability fair/developmentally appropriate, is favorable to learning and growth and is based on a commitment that all children can learn.
CREST is looking for a Special Education Teacher to teach students in our 9-12 Autism program. This classroom is in one of our cohorts in Lifeworks; vocational, hybrid, academic, or life skills. Licensure in Moderate Disabilities 9-12 is required. Appropriate experience with students with Autism, Intellectual and Emotional disabilities at this grade level is preferred and licensure in Mild/Moderate Disabilities 9-12 is required.
The ideal candidate will ensure student progress toward team-identified skills and competencies, by development, delivery, supervision, and evaluation of specialized instruction.
