Job summary

Perkins is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the Watertown campus. You will provide instructional services for students with multiple disabilities including visual impairment, based on individual needs and evaluation requirements.

You will plan and implement goals, adapt materials, and collaborate with families and agencies to support learners. Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in education or related field andlicensure within 3 years; a master’s in Special Education with

• Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant field; must obtain moderate to severe license within 3 years.
• Master’s degree in Special Education with current certification preferred.
• Ability to travel independently to visit students and partners.
• Experience with students with visual impairments or severe disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional services for students with multiple disabilities including visual impairment.
• Plan, prepare, and implement educational goals tailored to each student.
• Assess and document learner progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Establish high expectations and supportive classroom structures.
• Collaborate with families and outside agencies to support learners.
• Maintain a safe, organized learning environment and manage emergencies.
