Job Description:

Number of Positions: 1

Salary: $49,202 - $69,480 commensurate with experience

Location: Southern Adirondack Education Center, Hudson Falls

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am-2:45pm

  1. Plans appropriately for class presentation;
  2. Adapts methods and materials to meet students' individual needs and abilities;
  3. Orients students in regard to subject content, goals, and objectives and teaches them in a consistent manner;
  4. Presents recommended course content in assigned classes;
  5. Controls and supervises classes in a manner that will be conducive to learning;
  6. Evaluates and reports on students' progress at designated intervals according to established procedures;
  7. Maintains student attendance records in the prescribed manner;
  8. Operates under school policies, procedures, and regulations;
  9. Supervises the care and use of the classroom equipment and supplies and maintains proper inventory procedures;
  10. Maintains supervision necessary for general student safety and control;
  11. Participates in the development of curriculum and programs;
  12. Cooperates with professional and non-professional staff of this school and other school districts in collaborative activities;
  13. Serves as a case manager for assigned students;
  14. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:

Students with Disabilities 7-12; OR Students with Disabilities All Grades; OR Special Education K-12; AND Social Studies Content; Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.
