Job summary

Minnick Schools, part of enCircle, seeks a General Education Teacher in a special education setting in Lynchburg, VA. You will create weekly lesson plans and differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, driving to campuses as required.

Qualifications

Teaching license with a Special Education endorsement or content area endorsement.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Safety-Care Certification (Training provided).
Must have a valid Virginia drivers’ license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

Create and implement weekly lesson plans.
Administer formal and informal assessments to measure student growth and mastery.
Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
Identify students at risk and initiate effective interventions.
Participate in professional development.
Assist administration in applying policies and maintaining classroom order.
Attend Community School Committee and Advisory Committee meetings.
