Job summary

GPAC is partnering with a highly-regarded K-8th school in North Minneapolis to identify their next Special Education (SPED) Teacher. This on-site, full-time role serves students in SPED with a focus on middle school (SLD) and Grade 2/3 (ASD/DCD; Setting 3).

The SPED Teacher will provide a culturally relevant, challenging and fun learning experience, helping students build confidence and a strong sense of self-worth. A supportive environment with coaching and competitive benefits awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
• Minnesota teaching license in content area/grade level preferred.
• Urban public or charter school experience is valued.
• SPED certification would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver culturally relevant, challenging, and engaging SPED instruction.
• Manage a caseload of 5–10 students.
• Collaborate with instructional coaches and staff to support student growth.
• Support student confidence, self-worth and progress.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
