Genesee Lake School, a MyPath company, is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students with diverse needs in a school setting. You will coordinate with teachers, document daily activities and behavior data, and apply approved instructional techniques under supervision.

You will model professional behavior and engage students in active learning to foster growth and independence. The position runs 7:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday during the regular school year, with shorter summer hours.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• At least one year of experience working with special needs students preferred.
• Eligible for Instructional Aide license through Wisconsin DPI.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while maintaining self-control.
• Able to work effectively alone and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Meet with classroom teacher or supervisor to discuss daily activities and concerns related to students.
• Complete and submit paperwork, lesson plans, instructional data, and behavior data on schedule.
• Use Agency-approved treatment techniques in supervising and educating students.
• Be familiar with behavior management and curriculum used at GLS.
• Act as a role model for students, staff and the community.
• Engage students in active learning and monitor progress.
• Provide constructive feedback for staff and ensure Education Department policies are followed.
