Salary Range

$43,350.73 - $81,769.12 + Stipend (SY25/26)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Builds trust and confidence with students.
• Plans curriculum, lessons, and special education programs and teaching methods.
• Maintains the physical environment of the classroom for organization and presentation purposes.
• Encourages good citizenship.
• Instructs individuals and groups on special education skill areas.
• Monitors student progress in and outside resource rooms.
• Modifies curriculum as needed.
• Maintains contact with students' parents.
• Evaluates student progress, sets goals, objectives, and directions.
• Prepares report cards, educational records, IEP forms, classroom observation records, and other documentation.
• Participates in weekly special education committee meetings.
• Administers testing and evaluations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises students.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in education with experience in special education preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Valid teaching certificate with one or more special education endorsements.
