  • Certification as Special Education Teacher necessary (282).
  • Ability to complete diagnostic testing necessary
  • Ability to develop and implement individual educational plans required
  • Experience working with children with disabilities necessary
  • Proficiency with technology required
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team required
  • Ability to implement Safety-Care intervention strategies helpful but not required
  • Ability to develop and implement behavior plans necessary
  • Strong background in Reading and Math preferred
  • Ability to collaboratively problem solve
  • Experience with special education law and forms
  • Ability to identify barriers to learning and to teach skills in academic, social, executive function, and emotional regulation areas
  • Willingness to look at whole child, evidenced-based approaches
  • Ability to support students in learning the skills they need to be successful learners
  • Ability to use data-driven approaches to track learning progress and growth
