Job description

We are seeking a certified Special Education Teacher for a full-time position working with students in the Philadelphia, PA 19133 area. This position is for the 2025-2026 school year and will begin in August. Eligible candidates must be certified Special Education teachers in Pennsylvania and have up-to-date PA clearances.

Qualifications:
  • Must have a Special Education Certification in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Autistic Support or Emotional Support Endorsement/experience preferred
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree (at minimum)
  • Must have current, up-to-date clearances
    • FBI Fingerprints
    • PA Criminal Background
    • PA Child Abuse
    • Act 168, Act 24
    • Mandated Reporter Training
Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
  • Adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities
  • Providing accommodations and modifications as needed to support student success
  • Collaborating with other educators, parents, and outside service providers to design and deliver instruction that meets the unique academic, social and emotional needs of each student
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Participating in the evaluation and revision of IEPs as necessary
  • Providing support and guidance to students with disabilities to help them achieve their goals
  • Communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child’s progress and needs
